Portable Chargers for Type 2

A portable type 2 charger has a Mennekes type 2 connection on the vehicle side and a standard socket connection (Schuko) or a CEE connection on the side of the charging source. With a portable type 2 charger you can charge an electric car or a plug-in hybrid via a normal 220V/230V socket.

The portable chargers are equipped with an earth fault protection of 20mA and are also protected against under voltage and overvoltage.
